As part of our 20th Anniversary Thrill Jockey wanted to celebrate the significance of the contributions of Poster Artists to our advocacy of our artists. To celebrate their contribution we have comissioned an exclusive set of limited-edition Silk Screened posters. The Artists were given no directives at all, just told to create any poster they would like. It does not have to mention Thrill Jockey or our 20th birthday, although several do. Thrill Jockey will not be keeping any of the proceeds generated by these posters - 100% goes back to the artists.

The fourth poster available is from Crosshair.

Title : Cranes #2
Signed and numbered edition of 75
7 color screen print
12.5" x 19"

Some words from Dan MacAdam : "The first time I met Bettina was as a college radio nerd sometime in '93-'94, at the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland while I watched the Sea & Cake during what would have been their first tour. I doubt she remembers, and as I was either drinking underage or had just turned 21, I barely do either. Shortly thereafter I found myself in Chicago making a go of it as a screenprinter. As a few of her bands were friends of mine, it was inevitable that we would continue to cross paths. And we have, on a regular basis, ever since. The best business relationships are anchored in friendship. Thrill Jockey has become family.

What does a silkscreen print of harbor cranes in Hamburg, have to do with a Chicago record label's 20th anniversary? I don't know. What do artists, doing what they are driven to do, making what they find fascinating and pursuing their vision without regard for commercial viability or critical validation, have to do with Thrill Jockey? Everything.

Happy 20th!
-Dan MacAdam/Crosshair"
