Acclaimed harpist Mary Lattimore and guitar/synthesizer player Jeff Zeigler began performing their score to Philippe Garrel's 1968 experimental film Le Révélateur in 2013. The film was created as an intentionally silent work, but Garrel himself endorsed the duo's composed score and all subsequent performances. Lattimore and Zeigler have since played their score to sold-out audiences at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Constellation Chicago, and the International House in Philadelphia. Together, the duo creates a soundscape that perfectly matches the film’s progression a family’s dysfunctional home life into a godless post-apocalyptic landscape.
Lattimore (who has worked with Steve Gunn, Thurston Moore, Wrekmeister Harmonies and Yo La Tengo) and Zeigler (who has recorded War on Drugs andKurt Vile at his studio Uniform Recording) are working on a new studio album for 2017 and will be performing their score to Le Révelateur at additional screenings throughout the US and Europe.

Brooklyn’s Rhyton (Dave Shuford, Jimy SeiTang, and Rob Smith) are leading experimentalists and improvisers who draw inspiration from unexpected sources. The trio honed their skills in projects like No-Neck Blues Band (Shuford), Pigeons(Smith), and Stygian Stride (SeiTang), and all three have played a significant role in shaping a nationally impactful and enigmatic improvisation movement from New York. Redshift finds Rhyton expanding its sound and defying expectations by creating a galactic country throw-down, from the Greek-infused jams of "The Nine" to the twisted cover of Joe Walsh's "Turn to Stone".
Redshift was recorded at Black Dirt Studio (Steve Gunn, Purling Hiss, Michael Chapman, The Black Twig Pickers, Jack Rose), and the cover art is by the famed illustrator Arik Roper (who has also created art for Sleep, High on Fire, andEarth). Rhyton will be playing specially curated events this the summer.
